By Dr. Chad Audi. As the country commemorates National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, there is a renewed call to fight poverty. It’s appropriate that this observation occurs each year just before Thanksgiving, a time when people think about what they are thankful for and a time when more people reach out to the disadvantaged to.

National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week (HHAW) is held each year the week before Thanksgiving. This is a time for us all to start to think about what we are thankful for, a perfect time to share our compassion with our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness, and work toward a world where no one has to experience hunger or homelessness.

Taxpayers are still bailing out Wall Street, eight years later Now it’s time for Wall Street to bail out the american people. fiscally, we’re spending 1/10th of what we spent bailing out Wall Street. And that was money that was taken from taxpayers, and we’re not doing that as well. I think our plan is great because we are freeing 45 million from debt, we’re levying a small taxation on Wall Street.

November 18-24th, 2019 National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual week of programs to draw attention to problems of hunger and homelessness. Students, staff, faculty and the surrounding community are invited to learn from this series of educational, service, advocacy, and simulation events.
